Hector and the Search for Happiness

On July 31, 2015 I watched this movie called Hector and the Search for Happiness. It’s a British movie about a psychiatrist who embarks on a journey hoping to discover the secret of true happiness.

It’s a movie that at the time, and still, had a lot of meaning to me, especially that day.

I’m not going to write a movie review here, nor talk much more about it, but here are four takeaways that resonated with me:

  • Avoiding unhappiness is not the road to happiness.
  • Happiness is being loved for who you are.
  • Fear is an impediment for happiness.
  • Listening is loving
